Packaging: 9.25/10

These blushes come in small, clear compacts made of plastic. The pans are round and have daisies embossed on them.

Quality: 8.25/10

Ginger Pop is a ginger-peach shade. Peach Pop is a soft coral. Berry Pop is a bright, medium hot pink. And Plum Pop is a soft fuchsia.

While none of these blushes have shimmer in them, they do leave a sheen on the finish. The colors also have sheer pigmentation, so while Berry Pop and Plum Pop are bright in color, the finishes are soft and translucent. The powder doesn’t blend into the skin in a seamless manner (see the Ease of Use section, below). That said, these blushes have a beautiful finish that’s natural-looking and makes the powder look like it’s part of the skin’s texture.

Ease of Use: 8/10

I find the formula to be dry in the pan, which means I have to use more pressure with the brush to get the powder to transfer. And while I don’t have too much trouble getting the colors to show up, I do have a harder time with blending in the color smoothly.

Price: 8.5/10

For $21.00 you get 0.12 ounces of product. This is less product per dollar when compared to other Clinique blushes and the blushes offered by Clinique’s competitor brands.

  1. Whitney says:

What brush do you use to apply these? Or do you find applying with fingers better?

  2. Ilona says:

I found the same issue but then rubbed my finger over the entire thing to see if maybe it was just a coating and it swatched SO much better afterwards, and therefore applied with more ease.

  3. Lara says:

thanks for review ! I’m not crazy–I tried at store and had same reaction as you/that it’s dry and hard to pick up. Was wondering if I was missing something since everyone RAVES nonstop about this… Glad I trusted my reaction and didn’t buy, plus I got plenty of coral-y pinks that pretty much look the same on me anyway 😉

    • Allura says:

Yeah, I try not to get caught up in the raves so that I can review the products objectively. I love how these look in the pan, but they just weren’t awesome when used.

    • Alia says:

I bought Plum Pop and Peach Pop and returned them. They are HARD, Chalky, not blendable, and the color just didn’t show up on me. no matter what brush i used or how hard i tried…Really awful and i cannot understand what all the hype is about with these! I much prefer the Hourglass Blushes which i LOVE – they give you a lit from within radiant look and last all day!

      • Allura says:

Yeah…people have commented that you just have to use these a few times before they work well, but that never happened for me.

        • Alia says:

Perhaps i should have tried then to rub a bunch of the top layer off hoping that there was a better layer underneath! 😉
