Illuminate, contour and highlight for a healthy-looking, captivating glow. Includes a luminizer for highlighting cheekbones, a satin-finish blush for cheeks and glowing bronzer that helps contour and define
Hard Candy’s Spring 2014 Collection includes a new product–the So Baked Contouring Trio–that includes a highlighting, bronzing, and blush shade. These trios are available in 4 shade combinations. This review is for the trio in 3rd Wheel.
This trio comes in a round and flat plastic compact that flips open and has a clear lid. The 3 shades inside are evenly divided.
3rd Wheel contains a nude, almost colorless luminizing shade, a nude-peachy pink blush shade, and a soft, slightly yellow-based bronzing shade. The pan has luminizing particles throughout, which means all of the colors leave a sheen on the skin. I find that the bronzing shade can still be used for contouring, though, despite the luminizing particles.
All 3 shades have medium, softer pigmentation, so you get a sheer layer of color initially, and can build it up to medium-strength color through layering. The baked formula can also be more stiff in the pan, which means this product benefits from a more heavy application.
Overall, this is a very nice trio of colors to give the face a soft effect.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
The powder from the So Baked trio blends fairly well over the skin. The size of each individual color in the pan is a little awkward to fit a brush into, so expect to use a smaller brush or one that’s tapered at the end. And you’ll need to layer for a stronger showing of color.
For $9.00 you get 0.39 ounces (11 grams) of product. This is an incredible amount of product for the price.
