Bold. Opaque. Recklessly loaded with pigment. For lips that speak louder than words.
Lime Crime’s famous line of Opaque Lipsticks currently includes 18 different bold, opaque shades. This review is for Centrifuschia, which is a bright fuchsia shade.
Lime Crime’s Opaque Lipsticks come in bright, medium amethyst-purple tubes that are decorated with a holographic unicorn.
Centrifuschia is, despite the name, more of a ruby pink rather than a fuschia color. It has opaque pigmentation and leaves a very slight sheen on the lips. Although the color is opaque, it doesn’t look clown-ish, allowing some of your lip’s natural texture to show through.
The Opaque Lipstick formula for this shade isn’t moisturizing, but isn’t drying either. I don’t feel a need to apply a gloss or balm on top, but if you have dry skin, you might need to.
The formula is also long-wearing. It’s not completely transfer-proof, but it does cling pretty well to the lips, lasting for a good 3-4 hours before needing any touching-up. This color also leaves behind a berry tint on the lips that lasts for another 2-3 hours after the lipstick wears off.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
This lipstick’s formula skips and drags a little on the lips because the formula isn’t creamy or moisturizing, but it transfers pretty well despite this.
