Get a poreless-looking, silky-smooth finish and achieve complexion POREfection with LORAC.
LORAC’s new POREfection Foundation is a liquid foundation said to perfect the skin while providing it anti-aging benefits. The foundation is available in 10 shades. The shade reviewed and depicted is PR2/Light.
This foundation comes in a light-weight, clear bottle made of plastic that comes with a pump applicator. The packaging keeps the foundation inside sanitary and the ingredients stable. The only thing keeping the packaging from perfection is the fact that it’s not opaque, and so could be exposed to sunlight, which can compromise the ingredients inside.
The POREfection Foundation has a liquid formula that’s fairly thin and spreads quickly over the skin. The foundation feels lightweight and blends pretty seamlessly into the skin. You get medium coverage and a natural finish that’s neither dewy nor matte.
PR2/Light is neutral in tone and a great match for my NC20 skin.
This foundation looks natural on the skin and doesn’t need to be set unless you have oily skin. With my combination skin, I often wear this foundation without setting it, and it puts up with my oily spots very well. If you have very dry skin, this foundation probably isn’t moisturizing enough for you, but any other skin type will work well in conjunction with this foundation.
The foundation wears well throughout the day without any significant fading. There’s a small amount of patchiness that develops for me on my chin (where I have dry patches), but it’s not noticeable unless you look closely.
The bonus with this foundation is that it affords effective, full-spectrum sun protection as well as good anti-aging ingredients like retinyl palmitate (vitamin A and antioxidant). On the downside, this foundation also includes a small amount of lemon fruit extract–a potentially irritating ingredient for the skin.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
This is a very easy foundation to use because the formula spreads quickly over the skin and blends nicely. It also doesn’t need powdering unless you have oily skin.
For $36.00 you get 1.12 fl. oz (33.3 ml) of foundation. This is more than the average amount of product you usually get (1 fl oz) and comes at a lower price tag than LORAC’s competitors.
