A lip finish that fuses the creamy, sheen-filled nature of Cremesheen Lipstick with the shine of M∙A∙C Lipglass. Soft, comfortable, non-sticky. Applies with a doe-foot applicator. Use as a top layer to its namesake Lipstick or on its own.
This review is for the 6 new Cremesheen Glasses releasing with MAC’s A Fantasy Of Flowers Collection. The following 6 shades are depicted and reviewed:
- Nectarsweet: Soft pink peach
- Flare For Fantasy: Mid-tone pink beige
- Pagoda: Frosted cool pink (Repromote)
- Playful Petal: Electric magenta
- Star Quality: Bright orange-coral (Repromote)
- Galaxy Rose: Mid-tone violet pink
Nectarsweet is an entirely nude shade with cool-toned micro-shimmer. Unless you have pale lips, this will barely change the color of your lips, if at all.
Flare For Fantasy is a soft rose tons of warm-toned micro-shimmer. This is a good “my lips but better” shade with a serving of shimmer.
Pagoda is a pale, yellow-toned pink with silver micro-shimmer. This shade has a milky quality to it, which very slightly emphasizes the lip lines.
Playful Petal is a translucent fuchsia shade with violet glitter. You can feel the glitter particles in the lipgloss, but they’re not overly scratchy.
Star Quality is a red-coral without shimmer. The color is strong while still retaining some translucence.
Galaxy Rose is a soft red without shimmer. Like with Star Quality, the color is strong while still retaining some translucence.
As far as lip glosses go, Cremesheen Glasses aren’t great value for your money because you get very little product for $20.00. You also need to dip the doe-foot into the tube 5-6 times to get enough gloss to cover your lips.
Those negative qualities aside, I like that these glosses have a non-sticky, fairly thin formula. Star Quality and Galaxy Rose are a great balance of strong color and wearable finish. Playful Petal is probably the most interesting color, with its sheer but bright color and violet shimmer. Nectarsweet is probably the least exciting, because it doesn’t do much for my lips. Flare For Fantasy is a lovely natural shade.
