A liquid-powder bronzer with prismatic reflections. Highlights the face in the golden bronze shimmer of Aphrodite’s Shell and soft tan of Delphic. The cool, creamy near-fluid formula creates a luminous, well-defined finish. Wears ten hours. Limited-edition teal packaging, elegantly accented with crystal clear water droplets.
This review is for the 2 new, limited-edition Extra Dimension Bronzers releasing with MAC’s Alluring Aquatic Collection for Summer 2014. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Aphrodite’s Shell: Golden bronze with a touch of fine shimmer
- Delphic: Soft brick tan with a touch of fine shimmer
These Extra Dimension Bronzers come in special-edition packaging that’s a reflective aqua color. The packaging also has raised bumps to mimic water droplets. Like with other powder Extra Dimension products, the pans have the MAC logo and a wave design embossed on them.
Aphrodite’s Shell is a very light beige with a touch of pink-peach and gold. The bronzer leaves a slight sheen on the skin, but can still be used for all-over the face contouring (as opposed to narrow sculpting). The pigmentation is decent.
Delphic is a very warm-toned tan with a golden-orange tint. This shade also leaves a sheen but, again, can still be used for broad-area contouring, as well as bronzing. The pigmentation is good.
The Extra Dimension Bronzer formula is dry in the pan and could apply more smoothly. But the formula applies more easily compared to the Extra Dimension Blushes and doesn’t require as much layering and blending as the blushes do.
For $33.00 you get 9 grams (0.31 ounces) of blush. This increase in price is mainly due to the special packaging that comes with this collection
