High-gloss, glass-like finish tinted with colour. Wear it alone or pair it with Lipstick for a perfectly glossed look. Limited-edition teal packaging, dramatically accented with sheer water droplets.
This review is for the 4 new, limited-edition Tinted Lipglasses releasing with MAC’s Alluring Aquatic Collection for Summer 2014. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Clear Water: Sheer nude with multidimensional pearl
- Water Deities: Light bronzy pink
- Seducing Sound: Mid-tone plum bronze
- Modern Lure: Deep violet with pink pearl
Peachstock is also re-promoted with this collection.
These Lipglasses come in reflective aqua tubes instead of MAC’s typical black tubes. The packaging also has raised bumps to mimic water droplets.
Clear Water has a nearly clear base with pearlescent glitter. This type of lip color has been released before, but the effect is beautiful. This shade is perfect used over a colored lipstick or used just alone.
Water Deities is a peachy rose-gold with a pearlescent and liquid metal finish. This shade is drop-dead gorgeous and my favorite of the Alluring Aquatic Tinted Lipglasses.
Seducing Sound is a brown-tinted rose with the same pearlescent, liquid metal finish that Water Deities has.
Modern Lure is a deep berry plum with violet shimmer. This is my least favorite shade of the bunch because it sinks into your lip lines and isn’t entirely smooth on the lips.
The Tinted Lipglass formula is smooth and not sticky, though it has some body to it. It’s not long-wearing, and will last a couple of hours before wearing off.
For $16.50 you get 4.8 grams (0.17 ounces) of gloss. This increase in price is mainly due to the special packaging that comes with this collection.
