Company’s Description

A smooth-to-apply, easy-to-blend, emollient-based foundation formulated to provide opaque coverage. Full Coverage Foundation was developed for the professional makeup artist who wanted an emollient-based foundation with opaque coverage. Water-resistant and long-wearing, it can cover most scars, blemishes and birthmarks. This easy-to-blend cream cake formulation is available in a wide range of colours. Coverage can range from sheer to opaque. Achieve sheer coverage by applying a small amount of the foundation using a moist sponge. For opaque coverage apply the foundation using a dry sponge and a stippling motion. Compatible with latex and other synthetics used in special effects makeup, it can be used on the face and body. Great for beauty photography.

This review is for MAC’s Full Coverage Foundation, which is a PRO product but is available for purchase by all customers. This foundation is available in 17 shades and is said to be long-wearing, water-resistant, and opaque in coverage.

MAC’s Full Coverage Foundation comes in MAC’s classic compact packaging, which flips open and has a clear lid.

This foundation is a solid, packed cream. NC20 is light and distinctly yellow-based. Even for my skin, this color is a little too light once the Summer months come around.

The consistency of this foundation is a bit stiff, so you’ll need a sponge or dense, synthetic-bristled brush to apply this. The foundation leaves a matte finish on the skin and imparts medium to full coverage.

This foundation is long-wearing and water-resistant. It’s not a formula that will work well on dry skin because it’s on the thick side and isn’t moisturizing. But those with oily skin will appreciate the mattifying quality it has.

This can work equally well as a concealer. In fact, this is probably better used as a concealer for everyday, and for all over the face only for special occasions.

If you want lighter coverage, use a dampened sponge. For full coverage, use a dry sponge, brush, or your fingers.
