Baked minerals refined into a powder blush formula to provide exceptionally sheer and lightweight application. Colour builds lightly, layer after layer, without heavy coverage. Veils and enhances the cheekbones with a luminous, pearlized shimmer.
This review is for the 2 new, limited edition Mineralize Blushes releasing with MAC’s Lightness Of Being Collection. The following 2 shades are depicted and reviewed:
- Please Yourself: Light pink with plum marble
- Uplifting: Peach with bright orange marble
Please Yourself is a pink with a plum undertone. This blush is very frosty and has medium pigmentation, so you’ll probably want to apply at least 2 layers of the blush.
Uplifting is a soft orange. This blush is crazy frosty and shimmery, with a silver sheen. This blush is more like a highlighter because the soft pigmentation is overpowered by the shimmer.
These blushes have a silver over-spray that comes off, but that doesn’t really make a difference, since both blushes are super shimmery and frosty as-is. The shimmer in both shades gets everywhere: it kicks up into the air and the compact as you’re picking up the blush with your brush, and the glitter will get on your hands and land on anything that’s around you during application.
If you don’t have any blemishes or uneven skin, and you don’t have mature skin, these blushes could work for you. But if you have any “imperfections,” wrinkles, or noticeable pores, the amount of shimmer in these blushes won’t create a flattering look on your cheeks. You also need at least a couple layers of each shade to get them to show up on the skin.
