A 77-Mineral Moist Complex that instantly nourishes lips with maximum moisture in a lightweight, non-sticky formula. Larger bullet applies bright, long lasting colour in a single stroke. Medium shine finish, buildable coverage. Magnetic closure.
This review is for the 5 Mineralize Rich Lipsticks releasing with MAC’s Lightness Of Being Collection. The following 5 shades are depicted and reviewed:
- Be Fabulous: Washed-out pastel pink (Permanent)
- Dreaminess: Soft cool pink cream (Permanent)
- Luxe Natural: Light beige cream (Permanent)
- Style Surge: Neutral coral cream (Permanent)
- Touch the Earth: Light wood brown
Mineralize Rich Lipsticks come in pinched tubes that are larger than MAC’s traditional lipsticks. They are also different because they have a magnetic closure.
Be Fabulous is a very yellow-based, light pink.
Dreaminess is also a soft pink, but isn’t as light and is a tad more neutral.
Luxe Natural is a soft, beige-nude.
Style Surge is a soft yet bright, cream-coral.
Touch The Earth is a soft brown-nude.
The Mineralize Rich formula is very pleasant to wear. These lipsticks have a balmy quality, no stickiness or heaviness, and are very emollient. If you’re looking for something that feels like a balm but wears for longer while giving you the color of a lipstick and the finish of a gloss, this is the lipstick for you. That said, this formula is by no means long-wearing. They last for a couple of hours before fading. And the shades do have some sheerness to them. The soft pink shades can also emphasize lip lines or dry patches that you have, so make sure your lips are exfoliated well before application.
The other disappointing thing about the Lightness of Being Mineralize Rich Lipsticks is that they are all permanent shades, except for Touch The Earth. And Touch The Earth may work well for deep skin tones, but may otherwise be difficult for people to pull off because of the brown undertone.
