Company’s Description

An organic toner to finish off where your cleanser began. Antioxidant cranberries and vitamins fight bacteria and environmental damage. Contains black willow tree extract recognized for thousands of years for its healing power and fresh, warm, spicy tea tree oil a powerful immune stimulant to help fight infections and promote clear skin. Works to restore the skin’s proper pH without the sting and drying effects of alcohol leaving your skin looking and feeling cool and refreshed.

Michael Todd is a natural skincare company that focuses on using organic ingredients. This review is for the Cranberry Antiox Toner, which is said to be good for normal to dry, mature and combination skin.

Organic Skin Care by Michael Todd True Organics

The Cranberry Antiox Toner comes in a large, plastic bottle made of opaque plastic topped with a screw-off cap. The opaque packaging keeps the ingredients inside stable.

This is a liquid toner that has a hint of a cranberry scent, but doesn’t have any fragrance added into the ingredients–which is a good thing when you’re talking about skincare! The toner is hydrating and absorbs immediately into the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed.

One of the most important things to look for in a toner (besides making sure it has no fragrance) is the *absence* of alcohol in the ingredients. A majority of toners on the market add alcohol as an ingredient because it gives the skin a tingling feeling and temporarily removes oil. But alcohol is not a great ingredient to put on the skin. Neither are things like orange and lemon extract, which are skin irritants but are also often found in toners. To be fair, a couple of the other Michael Todd toners have ingredients like orange and lemon extract, but the Cranberry Antiox Toner doesn’t have any of those irritating ingredients.

Instead, it has a list of great, skin-beneficial ingredients, like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, willow bark (anti-oxidant), cranberry (anti-oxidant), and tea tree (anti-bacterial).

This is a fantastic toner for all skin types because of the beneficial ingredients and non-drying formula. Those with normal and dry skin will still want to moisturize after using this toner, but it can be used alone for those with oily skin.

For $18.00 you get 8.4 fl oz (250 ml) of toner. This is a good amount of product for a mid-range brand and for the price.
