NARS’s Spring 2014 Collection features 2 Duo Eyeshadows. This review is for the duo in China Seas, which includes an iridescent turquoise with gold infusion and an iridescent plum.
FYI, you can get a complimentary mini Orgasm Illuminator AND mini Aigle Noir Soft Touch Shadow Pencil with any purchase of $25 or more. Use code FEBMINIDUO at checkout. Ends 2/28.
The NARS Duo Eyeshadow packaging is made of NARS’ classic rubberized black plastic and has a lid with a mirror inside that snaps shut. The outside of the packaging is a magnet for powder products, which makes it difficult to keep clean.
China Seas includes a sea-foam blue/turquoise with a beautiful, shimmering gold sheen that creates a subtle duo-chromed effect. The blue shade is buttery soft and melts into the skin.
China Seas also includes a dusty eggplant purple with a soft, shimmering finish. The formula for the purple shade isn’t as buttery and doesn’t glide on as well as the blue shade, but still has pretty good pigmentation.
Ease of Use: 9/10
Both of these shades are easy to pack onto the lid and blend out smoothly–the blue shade more than the purple.
0.14 ounces (4 grams) of shadow. NARS’ single shadows cost $24.00 and contain half the amount of product, so you are getting a good deal for your money by investing in the Duos.
