Outrageously lustrous color meets high-impact shine. Dramatic, stay-in-place shades glide on smoothly and evenly for lips that are more luminous and voluminous than ever before.
NARS’s Spring 2014 Collection features 2 Larger Than Life Lip Glosses. The following colors are reviewed and depicted:
- Années Folles: Sheer violet
- Bimini: Sheer pink guava
FYI, you can get a complimentary mini Orgasm Illuminator AND mini Aigle Noir Soft Touch Shadow Pencil with any purchase of $25 or more. Use code FEBMINIDUO at checkout. Ends 2/28.
NARS Larger Than Life Lip Glosses come in rectangular, plastic, see-through tubes. The handle is made of the company’s classic rubberized plastic. The brush applicator is very short and narrow.
Années Folles is a milky, translucent lilac color without shimmer. This color looks unflattering if you apply too much of it. The milky quality emphasizes lip lines when more than 2-3 layers are applied.
Bimini is a sheer peach with lots of silver micro-shimmer. Even though the photo where the lipgloss is applied displays lots of shimmer, the shimmer isn’t as noticeable in person. Instead, the gloss gives the lips a tint of flattering pink-peach and has a sort of liquid-metallic finish.
The formula is not sticky and has a thin/medium quality to it. It doesn’t have a long-wearing quality to it, so it transfers off the lips easily and lasts only 2 hours before needing re-application.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
Because these colors aren’t bold or opaque, they’re easy to apply. But the tiny applicator means you have to dip into the tube many times before you’re covered the lips.
For $26.00 you get 0.19 ounces of product. With NARS’ regular Lip Glosses, you get about 50% more product for a lower price.
