Capture that sexy glow with our lightweight, multi-functional illuminator. Use as a foundation base or over cheekbones, décolletage, or cupids bow for that refreshing luminosity that’ll have everyone talking.
NYX’s Born To Glow Liquid Illuminators come in 2 shades. This review is for the shade Sunbeam, which is a pale pink with pearl.
This illuminator comes in a small, flat, opaque, squeeze tube made of plastic that has a twist-off cap.
Sunbeam is a pale, frosty pink with silver shimmer. The illuminator has a medium-thick liquid formula.
The shimmer particles in this illuminator are on the large side and are a bit gritty instead of being finely-milled and refined. Strangely, instead of this translating into a highlighter that’s unrefined, this illuminator instead just doesn’t really show up. I have a hard time getting this illuminator to be noticeable on my skin.
I think there are much better, noticeable yet refined illuminators out there that can be used for highlighting or all-over luminizing.
Ease of Use: 8/10
The thin cream formula blends out quickly, but doesn’t layer effectively.
For $7.50 you get 0.5 fl oz (15 ml) of product. This is about half the amount you usually get in other drugstore highlighters, but for more than half the amount.
