With Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator its easy to get a healthy glow in any light. Brighten and illuminate skin for a radiant complexion. Wear alone to highlight and brighten. Wear with foundation to banish dullness and even out skin tone.
Revlon’s new PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminators are said to impart a healthy glow. This product is available in 4 shades. This review is for the shade Bare Light, which is a nude champagne.
This product comes in a plastic bottle that is very flat and, overall, pretty large. The cap screws on. The packaging isn’t the most elegant for dispensing the liquid product inside.
The Skinlights Face Illuminator has a very thin, liquid formula. The liquid contains extremely small luminizing particles. The overall effect you get is subtle–more of a luminizing effect than a highlighting effect.
This product seems best suited for mixing in with your foundation if you want an overall, subtle luminizing effect, or if you’re looking for very subtle emphasis on smaller areas of the face.
On my skin, it’s hard to tell the difference between the effect this product gives and the natural shininess my combination skin has before I set it with powder. On one hand, this is great because you can’t over-do it and the luminizing effect you get will always look natural. On the other hand, this product might not *do* enough to really justify using it–at least in the shade Bare Light.
Ease of Use: 9/10
This formula is very easy to use because of the thin consistency, which blends quickly and sinks into the skin. Layering doesn’t create much of a change in terms of the intensity of the effect you get, though.
For $12.99 you get 1 fl oz (30 ml) of product.
