Revlon’s new Lacquer Balms have been added to the ColorBurst line and come in 10 different shades. This review will be for shade #120 Vivacious, which is a bright, bold, pink rose shade with silver shimmer.
If you would like to see photographs and swatches of all 10 lacquer shades, please see this post.
The Lacquer Balms come in jumbo pencil form with bases that twist to reveal more product. The packaging is made of mirrored plastic in the color of the balm inside. The balms twist so that you don’t need to sharpen them.
Vivacious is a very bold rose pink shade shade with small, disbursed silver shimmer particles. The color is more opaque compared to the lighter shades in the Lacquer Balm line. The balm leaves a glossy, slightly balmy finish and the shimmer is almost undetectable.
The texture for this lacquer balm is emollient and moisturizing. It feels light-weight on the lips and has a light peppermint scent without making the lips tingle.
This shade leaves a very strong stain behind on the lips that can last through most of the day, depending on how strongly you initially apply the product. The formula doesn’t initially emphasize my lip lines, but can adhere more to any dry patches as the gloss wears off.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
The pencil form allows you to draw onto the lips easily and precisely.
