Revlon’s ColorStay Concealer advertises a flawless finish and long-lasting coverage. This concealer is available in 6 shades. This review depicts the shade Light Medium.
This concealer comes in a clear tube made of plastic and has a doe-foot applicator.
Light Medium is a tad too dark for my NC20 skin. It will probably match fine once my skin deepens in color during the Spring and Summer months, but it’s currently not a dead-on match, and would best suit those with NC/W 25 skin.
The concealer has a thin cream formula that blends quickly. When I first swatched this product, it looked like it gave medium-to-full coverage. But once I tested it several times, I realized that the consistency of the formula blended out in a way that didn’t maintain the coverage, so I actually only get medium coverage out of it.
This isn’t a bad concealer, but it doesn’t seem to do anything unique. The coverage is good, but not great, and the formula is also good, but not seamless on the skin. I also didn’t find this formula to be particularly long-wearing, the way the ColorStay foundation counterpart is.
For the eye area, this is a good concealer because the formula is moisturizing and doesn’t emphasize fine lines. You can also use this concealer on the face, but those with anything but light blemishes might find that this concealer doesn’t adhere strongly enough to the skin.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
The thin cream formula spreads out easily, but I do often find myself trying to (not that successfully) build up the product because I’m trying to get more coverage. I can use this concealer both under my eyes and on my face.
For around $10 you get 0.21 fl oz (6.2 ml) of product. This is a healthy serving of product, but the price is expensive compared to other drugstore concealers.
