LORAC’s Nude Necessities Palette contains 12 natural eye shadow shades with shimmering finishes. LORAC says these shades are highly pigmented and have a soft formula to help you achieve a no-makeup makeup look.
The Nude Necessities palette is full of neutral, nude shades. All of them have some level of shimmer in them, though the satin-finish shades can be used in the crease without showing obvious shimmer. That said, I wish this palette included at least a couple of truly matte shades to balance out the shimmer.
The formula of these shadows is also not the same as what you get with LORAC’s PRO formula. The shadows are more flaky/powdery–not as rich and creamy and smooth. And the shades aren’t as rich in pigmentation, though the more subtle color is more consistent with this palette’s “natural” description. That said, I find that the shades melt together easily on the lids and end up looking similar to each other, so you don’t get a lot of variety out of the 12 colors.
