Swatches: MAC Pigment in “Vanilla”

Below are pictures of MAC’s Vanilla pigment, which the company describes as a soft ivory white. This pigment has a Frost finish and is permanent in MAC’s line.

This is one of my all-time favorite pigment colors by MAC. It’s standard but also versatile. You can use it under the brow bone, on the lid, on the cheeks as a highlighter, mixed with lotion or foundation for a cream highlighter, an in multiple other ways. It has a yellow tint to the underlying ivory color. Continue reading →

Swatches: MAC Pigment in “Jardin Aires”

Below are pictures of MAC’s Jardin Aires pigment–a shimmery, slightly peachy champagne color. This has been a limited edition color features in a couple of previous MAC collections (I believe most recently with the Heatherette collection) and some mini-sized pigment sets.

This is a beautiful shimmery color for the lids. But I will also say that it’s on the slightly gritty side. I don’t find that the more gritty texture causes any problem in application, though.

I’m betting this pigment color will make a debut in another MAC collection soon! Continue reading →
